Follow Friday(5)

Follow Friday is a weekly event hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.

This week's Question is:

Question of the Week: When you've read a book, what do you do with it? (Keep it, give it away, donate it, sell it, swap it..?)

I must be a scrooge when it comes to my books. I don't share my books at all. I sit and count them all to my hearts desire. Just kidding about the counting part lol. But I do love my books and barely ever share them. Once I finish reading a book I keep all of them on my bookshelf and that is basically where I just stare at them and sometimes pet them all day long(kidding again) lol. The point is I really don't like people touching my books and ruining them. I hate when people dog ear books and get stains all on them. So basically I keep my books to myself. =]

Also I forgot to mention I also keep a ton of ebooks on my NookColor. =]

What do you do with your books when you are done reading them?

Link me up in the comments section and let me know. =]

P.S. Also don't forget to Enter my Giveaway of The Fox Inheritance Audiobook. =]

  1. Exactly!

I don't like sharing them because I know people won't take care of them as well as I do ): they don't appreciate them as much.

But when someone asks nicely, I let them borrow one but a piece my heart goes with it ): haha

New follower. Thanks for coming by my blog (:

  2. Oh my gosh, I am exactly the same way as you! I used to lend out my books because they always came back battered so I got so frustrated. I'm super picky about the conditions of my books too, sigh. Needless to say, I don't lend out my books anymore!

  5. I always get scared that someone will forget to return my book(s) >_< Thank goodness some of you feel the same way. I was beginning to feel stingy about my books, haha. And yes, in the future I plan to buy hardcovers of the e-books I love just to have a collection of them. But right now, I don't have the room in my house :0( Thank goodness for e-readers, lol.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  7. Hi there, I'm just returning the follow.

I'm not as nit picky about my books as I use to be. I swear the first time I saw someone dog ear one of my books I became completely ornery. I still glare daggers at my sisters whenever my nieces get too close to my bookshelves.

    Have a grand weekend!

  12. I have very few people to whom I am willing to lend books. Like you, I am careful with how I take care of my books and I hate for them to get ruined. Old follower.

  15. Happy Friday! New follower here :)

Looks like we're many who keeps them around! I'm glad I'm using my e-reader so much though, since I don't really have much space at all! Favorites will always have a place on the shelf though.

  20. Thanks for stopping by. I am now following.
I am exactly the same as you. I like looking at (and petting) my books. No shame in admitting that. I recently bought an ereader and I hate not having those books sitting out to stare at and admire.

  21. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Reading your post had me picturing Scrooge McDuck swimming through a vault of his gold coins but you'd more likely have the library from Beauty and the Beast than swim through your books ;).

Also death to all who dare to dog ear pages.
