Synopsis:

A masterful, twisted tale of ambition, jealousy, betrayal, and
superpowers, set in a near-future world.

Victor and Eli started out as college roommates—brilliant, arrogant, lonely boys who recognized the same sharpness and ambition in each other. In their senior year, a shared research interest in adrenaline, near-death experiences, and seemingly supernatural events reveals an intriguing possibility: that under the right conditions, someone could develop extraordinary abilities. But when their thesis moves from the academic to the experimental, things go horribly wrong.

Ten years later, Victor breaks out of prison, determined to catch up to his old friend (now foe), aided by a young girl whose reserved nature obscures a stunning ability. Meanwhile, Eli is on a mission to eradicate every other super-powered person that he can find—aside from his sidekick, an enigmatic woman with an unbreakable will.

Armed with terrible power on both sides, driven by the memory of betrayal and loss, the archnemeses have set a course for revenge—but who will be left alive at the end?

Thoughts about the trailer:

I freaking love this trailer. It gives me way more insight into what the book is about. It makes me way more exited for it to come out. I so can't wait to read it. I love any type of book that has to do with superpowers and I know that Victoria Schwab is just absolutely brilliant. Plus this trailer has stunning images in it. So can't wait for this one.

August TBR and July Rewind

This year I have set the same Goodreads goal as last year, which is 50 books, just in case you were wondering. I plan on smashing my goal this year. So I am making a master tbr list and will change it around every month or so and keep you guys updated here to my progress.
So without further ado here is my TBR list and the links to the books I want to read. The numbered ones are the ones that I am hoping to read this month. My list is full with notes and the dates that some books are coming out so I can prepare to read them in the future. Some of them are interchangeable with each other and I can choose to read whichever one I want. Those that are crossed out are ones that I have read already within the month. If I don't read them all they will carry over into the next month. =]
January

May

16) A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin (Started in March and April, still reading along with TV show.) (This could also be the reason why I am so behind cause its a long book.)
17) The Emerald Tablet by Joshua Silverman (Just started reading within the past week)

Notes:
(Falling for You by Lisa Schroeder comes out Jan. 1st, Make Plans to Buy/Read)
(Possibly reread The Host, movie comes out in theaters March 29th) (Didn't get to it.)
(The Mortal Instruments comes out in theaters August 23rd)

There is my list this month. I hope you guys cheer me on and keep me on track with my goal. I am really hoping to smash my goal this year. Link me up to your August TBR lists if you have posted one. I am really interested to know what others are wanting to read. I am hoping to continue to read a ton of books each month, so keep cheering me on to reach my goal. =]

I just realized that I completely forgot to do this for the month of July. Oh well, I just put what I did in for July in this post as well. I have been in a blogging slump ever since I came back from vacation. I haven't really been up to blogging as much as I have in the past. I am still trying to read as much as possible and posting every now and then. Hopefully I will stay on track with my goal. Thanks for helping me keep my goals up. =]

Link me up to your TBR if you have one in the comments below. =]

Synopsis:
Rapunzel's tower is a satellite. She can't let down her hair - or her guard.
In this third book in the bestselling Lunar Chronicles series, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.

Their best hope lies with Cress, who has been trapped on a satellite since childhood with only her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker – unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.

When a daring rescue goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a high price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing stop her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only ones who can.

My Thoughts about the Cover:
I think the cover looks amazing. It really goes with all the other covers. I love the girl and her clear representation to Rapunzel. I haven't read Scarlet yet but I need to pronto because this book is coming out real soon. Really awesome cover. Can't wait to continue the series. =]
