This is a blog where people can explore and become engrossed in awesome books and ebooks to read. I have a nookcolor and love reading off of it. I will be reviewing the books, ebooks, movies, and etc... that I feel like reviewing. lol. =] I like reading all sorts of genres from YA to Mystery to Fantasy. I hope you enjoy it and keep coming back. =]
Q: What have you learned from book blogging that you didn't know before about the publishing industry?
I haven't learned that much since I started book blogging but I do know more than before. I didn't know that there were any such thing as an ARC, advanced readers copy. I had know idea that publishers gave away advanced copies to bloogers and librarians and other people for review purposes and stuff like that. I knew practically nothing about the publishing industry. I am glad I got into blogging for the fact that I now know more. I didn't even know tat it was the publisher chooses the cover, I thought it was the author that helped in doing that.
Let me know in the comments what you have learned.

Greetings Michael :) I remember reading an author interview a while, and the question was "Did you help/pick the cover for your book" and the author explained that she had little choice in the whole process. I think that really sucks, because that author WROTE the entire book, knows it in and out, and may have brilliant ideas on the cover! I see some books where it's obvious the cover artist had no idea what the book was about except for random details. Phew, that was a rant :) I learned the same things you did, actually! You can check out my post here if you'd like :)

I learned most of what I know by publishing myself, but it was a steep learning curve, that's for sure. I'm still baffled by a lot of it to be honest, but getting out there and doing it yourself is one way to learn things in a hurry.
Yeah, I think ARCs is going to be a popular item today!

Yes, I too just learned that the publisher chooses the cover and not the author.
