Teaser Tuesday(7): The Day Before by Lisa Schroeder

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by Miz B at Should Be Reading.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Cover ImageAmber’s life is spinning out of control. All she wants is to turn up the volume on her iPod until all of the demands of family and friends fade away. So she sneaks off to the beach to spend a day by herself.
Then Amber meets Cade. Their attraction is instant, and Amber can tell he’s also looking for an escape. Together they decide to share a perfect day: no pasts, no fears, no regrets.
The more time that Amber spends with Cade, the more she’s drawn to him. And the more she’s troubled by his darkness. Because Cade’s not just living in the now—he’s living each moment like it’s his last

My Teaser

"I hang up,
my heart racing,
the back of my neck sweaty.

Hey, Amber?
Cade knocks.
You okay?

I'll be out in a minute.

Cade's words echo in my head.

I bet others would say screw it,
and just not go back."

I just got interested in reading verse books and this is the second one I have read. Lisa Schroeder is such a great author. If you haven't checked out her work I definitely suggest you do. This book is really good so far and I can't wait to find out what happens in it. =]

Thanks for visiting

Happy Reading. =]

  2. Interesting! I've only read one book in verse (The Infernova); definitely a novel way to tell a story. It seems to draw more attention to individual actions: they don't get lost in a constant influx of text.

  4. Well that's definitely different! I love the idea. Not sure if I'd enjoy reading a book in verse or whether I'd go a little crazy, though. ;) Interesting teaser choice.
