In My Mailbox(7): Preorder/Borders Edition

Hi everyone,

This week I didn't get much in my mailbox and that is why I didn't really do one last week. I got two books that I preordered in the mail and I got two books from Borders. I hope you enjoy what I got and my enthusiasm and exciting over what I got this week. lol =]

In My Mailbox is a weekly feature/meme/video hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It is where you tell everyone what you got this week book wise in your mailbox or whatever. =]

Here is my In My Mailbox this week:

Books Mentioned:
 by Scott Westerfeld

Don't forget to let me know in the comments What you got in your Mailbox? this week. Also let me know if you have read any of these books, if they are good and which one I should start with first. Can't wait to see what everyone else got this week. =]

Till next time,

Happy Reading

  1. I liked Across the Universe pretty good. I haven't read the others, though I do have the Uglies series here.
I'm not able to watch the vlog cause my internet is still being too slow (reason I don't have a vlog up this week).
    Enjoy your books!

  2. I loved the Uglies series when I was younger! I gave my books away, but plan on buying them again soon.

  3. I LOVED the Uglies series through Specials. That's where I think it should have stopped. It ended well there, and then for some reason he wrote Extras much later, and I did NOT like it :(

I've heard AMAZING things about Sweetly and have a signed ARC, but haven't gotten to it yet.

Funny story about Beth Revis I want to tell you :)
I know you saw on my IMM Vlog that I went to the Jeaniene Frost, Kelley Armstrong, Melissa Marr signing this week. Well, while I was in line to get my books signed Lori (Pure Imagination) looks all the way across the bookstore and points and says "Angela, isn't that Stephanie Perkins (author of Anna and the French Kiss)?" so, we realize it is. Then we realize that she's standing there talking to none other than Beth Revis!! They had come for the signing!!!
So we made our husbands hold our place in line and went and fan girl stalked them! LOL. Introduced ourselves and had pictures with them and talked to them until our turn came up in the signing line!! HAHA! (we were way in the back so we had a long wait).

Anyway, I thought you might enjoy that story :) Sorry for the huge comment!!! LOL

  4. I was particularly taken by your Fairytale retelling - since we are on a Fractured Fairy tale theme for July and August - sounds like a sweet read. And yes your IMM looks amazing too! I have just recently borrowed "My MOther She Killed me my father he ate me" - a retelling of various fairytales as well - may be something that would interest you as well. Enjoy your books!

  5. I've only read Uglies, book #1 in the series. It was pretty good.
I also have Sisters Red in my bookshelf for what seems like ages and still haven't read it :/
    Enjoy :)

  6. I thought The Power of Six was fantastic! I liked I Am Number Four, but this totally knocked it out the ball park - awesome :) Love Across The Universe too! I have a copy of Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce but it's still unread, must get to that soon so I can read Sweetly too. Enjoy these!
