Follow Friday(10)
Follow Friday is a weekly event hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. This week's Question is: Q: What would your prefer: reading your favorite book over and over again until you got sick of it OR reading 100s of mediocre books? And why? Wow this is a really tough thought provoking question. There are definite pros and cons to both. I am completely the type of person that really doesn't reread books. I don't know why I really never have. But if it was one of my favorite all time books I might keep rereading it instead of choosing the 100s of mediocre books. It is such a difficult choice. I think I would have to choose the 100's of mediocre books just because they would all give me the experience of those books and living in those worlds and learning knew things I never learned before. I couldn't keep reading my favorite book over and over again because I would get sick of it fast and I wouldn't be able to stand the monotony of it. Let me know in the comments what your answer is and link me up.If you follow me let me know in the comments with a link to your Follow Friday and I will follow you back. =] Happy Reading -Michael
I didn't think many people would choose the mediocre books over their favorite, but I your explanation makes a lot of sense!

I thought about this question too, but seeing that mediocre books kind of make me feel depressed, I'd rather re-read my favorites.

I think it'd be interesting to try all of the bad ones in search of a good one (even if you know they'd all be bad). LOL

I'd rather not delve into the world of a mediocre book. But revisiting an awesome world in my favorite book is something I could do!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and following my blog! I followed ya back.
I totally agree - it is such a thought provoking question! I would also choose to read hundreds of different books though. I don't think I could stand reading the same thing a hundred times!

This was an insanely hard question to answer! Kept going back and forth for awhile before I finally decided I'd rather read something I enjoyed over and over vs reading 100 books of blah.
